Healthcare Service: Collaborative field medical program

A collaborative field medical program was conducted in Man Man Hseng Township of Wa Special Region, Shan State (North), on September 14 in accordance with Ministry of Health guidelines. The program was jointly organized by the Pangsang Township Department of Public Health, the Wa Health Department and partner organizations. Medical treatment was provided to 306 local residents, while 96 children under five received vaccinations and 128 children were given Vitamin A supplements. Insecticide-treated mosquito nets were also distributed to 234 residents. Blood tests for HIV/STDs, Hepatitis B and C, Dengue fever and malaria were conducted, along with X-ray screenings for tuberculosis, followed by necessary medical care.
