Thailand's CIB Arrests 16 in Major Drug Network Crackdown

Thailand's Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) announced on Friday, September 18th, that it has arrested 16 suspects in a nationwide crackdown codenamed Operation “BLACKLIST HUNT.” The operation targets a major narcotics network and individuals wanted on outstanding warrants. Officers detained five high-priority suspects and 11 alleged district-level distributors. Authorities stated that during the operation, law enforcement seized over 1 million methamphetamine pills. The CIB emphasized that this operation is a significant step towards disrupting drug distribution within Thailand and protecting public safety. Thailand has been grappling with the serious issue of synthetic drug production and trafficking, including methamphetamine, in recent years. The government has prioritized strengthening its anti-drug measures. This latest crackdown is part of those ongoing efforts, and investigations into eradicating drug organizations are expected to continue.
