The Myanmar military carried out a paramotor attack on Kin Ma village, near the border of Magway Region and Rakhine State, killing six people and injuring 12 others. The attack targeted the village's residential area, a Kin Ma village resistance official told Myanmar Now. Kin Ma village is located about 10 miles (16 kilometers) from the border between Magway Region and Rakhine State. This area is one of the regions where intense fighting has continued between the military and resistance forces since the 2021 coup. According to local residents, the attack occurred around 3 p.m. on January 24. Military aircraft circled over the village and dropped several bombs. The bombing caused damage to several houses in the village and started fires. Resistance forces stated that they attempted to counterattack the military's attack but were unable to resist the attack by military aircraft. The military has not released any comment on this attack.
