Traffic Engineering Implemented in Jakarta During Thai Prime Minister's Visit

The Directorate of Lalu Lintas (Traffic) of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police has prepared traffic engineering measures along several protocol roads in Jakarta during the state visit of the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, H.E. Anutin Charnvirakul, to Indonesia. The state visit of the Thai Prime Minister is scheduled to take place over two days, on Monday and Tuesday, August 3-4, 2026. Head of Operations and Training for the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Traffic Directorate, Kompol Robby Hefados, stated that this step is taken to ensure the smoothness of the event and as a form of respect. Therefore, officers in the field will provide escort and temporary traffic regulation on several protocol roads in Jakarta. "Traffic engineering will only be carried out when the state guest's convoy is passing," he said on Monday (July 3). On Monday (July 3), Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto received Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul at the Merdeka Palace. During Anutin's visit to Indonesia, he is also scheduled to lead the opening of the Thailand-Indonesia Business Forum and will deliver a speech at the ASEAN Secretariat on the Future of ASEAN. At the ASEAN Secretariat, Anutin will present Thailand's vision for a united, economically resilient, and people-centered ASEAN.
