The HOTLINE SCAM 24/7 team of the National Police General Commission has informed the public that on the morning of Tuesday, August 4, 2026, there was a stir on social media regarding the removal of the Telegram application from Apple's App Store. The team confirmed that iPhone users can currently download and use the Telegram application from the App Store as usual. Messaging app Telegram announced on Monday, August 3, 2026 (US time) that its application has been officially re-listed on Apple's App Store after it had disappeared for a short period on the same day. This was reported by Reuters news agency. Upon prior checks by Reuters reporters, accessing the Telegram download page on the App Store displayed a message stating, "The page you’re looking for can’t be found." However, Telegram later issued a brief statement saying, "Telegram is back on the App Store and will be generally available to all users very soon," without providing further details on the reason for its disappearance or temporary removal. Apple has not yet responded to requests for comment outside of official business hours.
