In Oudor Meanchey province, northwestern Cambodia, a journalist identified as En Polin, aged 43, has been arrested on charges of fraud. Security forces in the province executed a court warrant on July 30, 2026, apprehending Polin in Doen Ken village, Samrong commune, Samrong city. The alleged fraud incident for which he is being investigated reportedly took place in the same village on January 26, 2025. Following his arrest, security forces transferred Polin to the investigating judge of the Oudor Meanchey Provincial Court. Legal proceedings are expected to follow according to due process.
