Bareskrim Busts Bali Nightclub for Drug Trafficking, 53 Arrested

The Indonesian National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri) has busted a large-scale drug trafficking ring at the Five Star nightclub in Denpasar, Bali, a popular tourist destination. The operation was carried out in the early hours of Friday, July 7, around 00:40 AM Western Indonesian Time. According to Brig. Gen. Eko Hadi Santoso, Director of Narcotics Crimes at Bareskrim Polri, the raid was conducted in connection with drug trafficking activities by the nightclub's management. The investigation team apprehended and secured 53 individuals at the scene, including suspects and witnesses. However, Santoso has not yet disclosed specific details regarding the exact number of individuals arrested, their respective roles, or the types and quantities of narcotics seized. Further information regarding the confiscated evidence is expected to be revealed after the ongoing investigation is completed. The operation was led by a joint team headed by Kombes Handik Zusen and the NIC task force led by Kombes Kevin Leleury.
