Thailand Launches Rooftop Solar Excess Power Buyback Scheme for Households

Thailand has launched a scheme allowing households with rooftop solar power to sell excess electricity to state power authorities, effective July 5. Applications differ for Bangkok metropolitan and provincial areas, with power purchased at 2.20 baht per kilowatt for 10 years. The initiative aims to reduce household electricity bills and promote renewable energy.
