Lanh Fa and Polstar Factories Dispute Concluded in Pursat, Workers Return to Work
A labor dispute at the Lanh Fa and Polstar factories in Pursat province, Cambodia, has been peacefully resolved. Following intervention by the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, management involved in inappropriate remarks resigned, and workers are set to return to their jobs on September 9.
A labor dispute at the Lanh Fa and Polstar factories, located in Snam Preah commune, Bakan district, Pursat province, was peacefully resolved on September 8, 2026, thanks to the active and timely intervention of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training and relevant authorities. As a result of the resolution, the administration official who made inappropriate remarks towards the workers has resigned. The workers have agreed to return to work as usual starting September 9, 2026. Mr. Sun Mesa, spokesperson for the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, confirmed that after receiving the information, the Ministry immediately dispatched a working group to intervene and mediate until all parties agreed to the proposed solution. The Ministry expressed gratitude to the workers, employers, and relevant authorities for their participation in resolving the issue peacefully, thereby protecting legal rights and maintaining harmony in professional relations.
