Students ask SC to stop tree cutting in Manila for expressway project
Five college students have asked the Philippine Supreme Court to issue an environmental protection order to halt the mass cutting of trees on Quirino Avenue in Manila for an expressway project, after a lower court dismissed their petition on technical grounds. The students challenge a provision in the PPP Code that voids lower court injunctions.
