Military aircraft collides with bird, engine fire

A military aircraft from the Tatmadaw (Air Force) experienced an engine fire after colliding with a bird approximately 8,500 meters southeast of Hmawbi Township in Yangon Region, near the village of Nyaungnyinpin, at around 5:16 AM on August 3rd, as a bird entered the engine compartment. This was announced in a statement. It is understood that the pilot was able to eject safely by turning the aircraft's position towards an uninhabited area. Security forces have been dispatched to the vicinity of the crash site to carry out necessary security measures, and it has also been announced that there were no injuries among the aircrew on board the aircraft during this incident.
