Vietnamese PM Meets Cuban Foreign Minister in India, Affirms Deepening Friendship

Vietnamese Prime Minister Le Minh Hung met with Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla in New Delhi, India, on September 12, on the occasion of attending the 18th BRICS Summit. The meeting served as an opportunity to reaffirm the traditional friendly relations between the two countries and to further deepen cooperation. During the talks, the importance of direct dialogue between the political leaders of both countries was emphasized, and both sides agreed to maintain close coordination in the future. Discussions also covered the expansion of bilateral cooperation in a wide range of fields, including economy, trade, culture, and education. It is understood that while expressing understanding of the economic challenges facing Cuba, Vietnam also touched upon possible forms of support. Vietnam and Cuba have built strong relations as socialist countries for many years. In recent years, efforts have been made to strengthen economic cooperation and revitalize cultural and educational exchanges between the two countries. This meeting can be seen as an indication of Vietnam's commitment to valuing and developing its friendly relations with Cuba amidst a complex international situation. It also represents an effort to leverage the platform of the BRICS Summit, a multilateral forum, to further advance bilateral relations.
