On the afternoon of September 21, 2023, in Dien Bien Province, the Military Telecommunications Industry Corporation (Viettel) and the People's Committee of Dien Bien Province signed a cooperation agreement to implement Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation. This agreement underscores the recognition that leveraging science and technology and accelerating digitalization are crucial for Dien Bien Province's sustainable development. As one of Vietnam's less developed regions, Dien Bien has been implementing various initiatives to foster economic growth and improve the quality of life for its residents. The partnership with Viettel aims to achieve breakthroughs in areas such as infrastructure development, digitalization of administrative services, and industrial modernization. Viettel, with its extensive telecommunications infrastructure in Vietnam and its focus on advanced technologies like AI, IoT, and cloud computing, is expected to strongly support Dien Bien's digital transformation through its expertise and resources.
