Cambodia's Ministry of Education Pilot Launches Online Licensing System for Education Sector

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of Cambodia has launched a pilot program for an online system to apply for licenses and permits within the education sector. The ministry stated that with the aim of enhancing work efficiency, promoting digital transformation, and facilitating public service delivery to be easy, fast, transparent, and accountable for businessmen and investors in Phnom Penh and various provinces, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, in collaboration with the Secretariat of the Inter-Ministerial Working Group on Electronic Services for Business, has successfully developed the "System for Applying for Licenses or Permits in the Education Sector of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports." This system, developed through the standard model of electronic services for business, will be implemented in phases starting from the date of notification. This system allows the public to fully complete online applications, attach supporting documents, pay service fees, and receive licenses online for applications for permits to open private general education institutions and for five types of curricula under the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, namely: * Nursery license (Nursery) * Kindergarten to Secondary Education (Kindergarten to Grade 12) license * Lower Secondary Education license (Grades 7 to 9) * Upper Secondary Education license (Grades 10 to 12) * Private Secondary Education license (Grades 7 to 12) The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the Secretariat of the Inter-Ministerial Working Group on Electronic Services for Business will continue to cooperate in digitizing public services related to business and will introduce all types of licenses and services successively.
