Cambodian PM Distributes Aid to Over 400 Needy Families

Banteay Meanchey, Cambodia – On July 19, 2026, Um Ratry, Governor of Banteay Meanchey province, led a mission to distribute aid from Prime Minister Hun Manet to 432 families facing hardship in Serei Sophorn City. The distribution ceremony took place across seven communes within Serei Sophorn City, with the participation of provincial parliamentarians and relevant officials. Governor Um Ratry stated that the Cambodian government, under the wise leadership of Prime Minister Hun Manet and Senate President Hun Sen, consistently prioritizes the well-being of all citizens. He affirmed that the government continuously dispatches working groups to local areas to address issues and alleviate difficulties for the people in a timely manner, regardless of circumstances. The aid provided to the 432 families included 20 kilograms of rice and one box of instant noodles per household. Specifically, 102 families in Kampong Svay commune, 20 in Koh Pong Sat, 88 in Muk, 50 in Ou Ambel, 58 in Phneat, 64 in Preah Pol, and 50 in Teuk Thla commune received the assistance.
