Cambodian People's Party Directs Cadre to Strengthen Party for Commune/Sangkat Council Election

The Cambodian People's Party (CPP) convened its monthly meeting on August 1st at the party headquarters in Battambang province to review the progress of preparations for the 6th mandate Commune/Sangkat Council election, scheduled for June 6, 2027. The meeting was presided over by Samdech Krala Hom Sar Kheng, Deputy President of the CPP and head of the party's working group for Battambang province. During the meeting, HE Sok Lu, member of the Central Committee and President of the CPP's Provincial Party Committee in Battambang, delivered a welcoming report. He stated that in accordance with the high recommendations of Samdech Krala Hom Sar Kheng, the provincial party committee has led efforts to strengthen national solidarity among the masses, public officials, and party forces. This includes protecting the party''s supremacy, the territory, the people, and achievements, as well as promoting development and responding to citizens' needs. The committee has also updated the party's organizational structure at all levels and across various institutions, including permanent party committees at the provincial, municipal, and district levels, as well as party branches, groups, families, and members. HE Sok Lu further emphasized that the provincial party committee has strived to promote the provision of services in all specialized sectors within the framework of the government's priority policies. Efforts have been made to boost development and resolve urgent issues, particularly intervening to rescue rice crops affected by drought, promoting the systematic distribution of land titles, and working to resolve disputes outside of the court system. Samdech Krala Hom Sar Kheng stated that the Commune/Sangkat Council election is a local election that is directly connected to the people. It is a crucial electoral process for the nation, especially for the Cambodian People's Party to continue governing and developing the country. He instructed the party's working group to continue its activities and fulfill the duties assigned by the party. He urged them to continue visiting the grassroots level to understand the situation, challenges, opinions, and requests of the people in their localities. This is essential for timely problem-solving, strengthening closeness with the people, and increasing their trust in the party. Samdech Krala Hom Sar Kheng expressed his firm belief that the party's working group will continue to strengthen their collective commitment to bring brilliant success to the party in the upcoming 6th mandate Commune/Sangkat Council election in 2027. It is worth noting that Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet has issued a decision setting Sunday, June 6, 2027, as the date for the election of the 6th mandate Commune/Sangkat Council.
