NUG donates over 900 Lakhs of Myanmar Kyat for flood relief in Rakhine State

To meet the urgent needs of the people during the current severe flooding incident in Rakhine State, the National Unity Government (NUG) provided an initial donation of 150,000 Chinese Yuan (over 900 Lakhs of Myanmar Kyat) to the Arakan People's Revolution Government (ULA/AA) yesterday, July 19th. The NUG stated that this support is humanitarian aid aimed at effectively utilizing relief efforts during the natural disaster in Rakhine State. In response to this assistance, the entire Rakhine populace and the ULA/AA government sent back a letter of appreciation expressing their special gratitude and deep respect. The National Unity Government stated that it will continue to stand in solidarity with the people of Rakhine State and plans to continue providing as much support as possible for humanitarian aid and post-flood recovery efforts in the future. Recently, floods and landslides occurred in northern Rakhine State, requiring assistance for over 100,000 local residents. The Arakan People's Revolution Government is providing regional assistance, and most local residents are in need of help with drinking water, food, and shelter.
