Union Minister for Information U Htein Lin urged officials to prioritize the timely and effective distribution of accurate information to ensure local citizens understand government policies, actions, and ongoing procedures, during a meeting with staff at the Kalaw Township Information and Public Relations Department office on Monday. Following the meeting, the Union Minister presented foodstuffs and monetary awards to the staff. Then, he inspected the setting up of the children's reading room, reviewed documentation of the damage caused by Typhoon Yagi alongside the completed renovation work, and surveyed the proposed site for constructing a new Kalaw Township IPRD office building. In the afternoon, the Union Minister inspected the IPRD office of the Danu Self-Administered Zone in Pindaya. Regarding briefings by officials, he instructed them to systematically incorporate QR codes onto public awareness billboards to help citizens access and utilize daily news updates published on official online platforms such as the Ministry's MOI Website and MTube. He also emphasized intensifying outreach activities in rural areas to promote reading habits and upgrade library services, before presenting foodstuffs and cash awards to the staff. Subsequently, he handed over 10 sets of MRTV DTH satellite dishes and 10 sets of CANAL+ equipment to the Chairman of the Leading Body of the Danu Self-Administered Zone. Also, the Union Minister visited the project site of Forever Yay Wati Company Limited in Pindaya, which is developing film and television production studios centered on environmental conservation and greening initiatives, where he coordinated and addressed necessary requirements.
