DKI ジャカルタ州政府は、発生源からの廃棄物の分別と処理運動に関する 2026 年の知事指示 (Ingub) 第 5 号に従って、廃棄物の分別を正式に義務付けています。 この政策は、当時のハニフ・ファイソル・ヌロフィク環境大臣が、バンタゲバン総合廃棄物処理場(TPST)で廃棄物の土砂崩れが山積しているため、オープンダンプ方式による廃棄物管理を直ちに中止するよう要請してから1か月後に発表された。
