Kanlaon Volcano Erupts Again, Alert Level 2 Maintained

Kanlaon Volcano in the Negros Island Region erupted again, spewing grayish ash plumes 600 meters above its summit. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) stated the volcano has been on Alert Level 2 (increased unrest) since July last year, prohibiting entry into the permanent danger zone. Meanwhile, Mayon Volcano in Albay continues its activity.
