Kandal Province Authorities Inspect 3 Development Projects for 2026 - Aiming to Boost Local Economy and Improve Residents' Lives
Kandal Province authorities inspected three development projects slated for 2026 in Ponhea Luek and Mok Kampoul districts. These initiatives aim to stimulate the local economy, facilitate resident transportation, mitigate flooding, and improve living standards.
Under the guidance of H.E. Kuch Chamroeun, Governor of Kandal Province, H.E. Dim Bora, Deputy Governor of Kandal Province, led a technical team from the provincial administration, relevant ministries, and district authorities on July 16th to inspect three development projects scheduled for 2026. The inspections took place in Ponhea Luek and Mok Kampoul districts. This on-site inspection campaign aims to ensure the technical quality and work progress of the projects, responding to local needs and socioeconomic development. The three projects inspected include: 1. A gravel road project with a length of 1,500 meters, a width of 5 meters, and a thickness of 0.20 meters, located in Ampil Phel village, Vihiear Luong commune, Ponhea Luek district. 2. Four reinforced concrete road projects totaling 2,020 meters in length, 5 meters in width, and 0.15 meters in thickness, extending to four villages in Vihiear Luong commune, Ponhea Luek district. 3. The repair and installation of circular drainage culverts totaling 3,060 meters in length in Ruessei Chroy commune, Mok Kampoul district. The first line is 700 meters long with a cross-section of 1 meter, culvert pipes of 2.5 meters, 29 culvert wells, and 1 outlet. The second line is 2,360 meters long with a cross-section of 0.8 meters, culvert pipes of 2.5 meters, and 96 culvert wells. During the inspection, H.E. Dim Bora expressed high appreciation for the efforts of the provincial technical team, contractors, district authorities, and all relevant parties who have collaborated to implement these projects according to plan. These initiatives are expected to promote the local economy, facilitate travel and transportation of agricultural products for the people, reduce flooding during the rainy season, and enhance the civilized and safe living conditions of the residents. Concurrently, he also advised local authorities and all citizens to participate in maintaining these roads and drainage systems properly for long-term shared benefit.
