Travelers entering through border, maritime, and air entry points are allowed to carry up to two mobile phones per person. Mobile phones that have not yet been registered in the CEIR system must be declared through a Passenger Declaration Form (PD Form) at the airport customs counter, according to the CEIR and EIR System Project Steering Committee. It is understood that mobile phones entering through border entry points, maritime entry points, and international airports are being registered and processed in the CEIR system. In this process, it is understood that only mobile phones brought by travelers entering through international airports (Yangon, Nay Pyi Taw, Mandalay), including the phone currently in use, up to two mobile phones per traveler, will be allowed to undergo the aforementioned procedures for registration in the CEIR system. As for the process to be carried out, it is understood that travelers entering through international airports must declare any mobile phones that have not yet been registered in the CEIR system using a Passenger Declaration Form (PD Form) at the airport customs counter. It is understood that the IMEI number must be included in the PD Form when making such a declaration. It is understood that to register mobile phones in the CEIR system, one can visit the CEIR OSS team with documents such as a CEIR system registration application, passport (copy) (front page with photo and page with airport immigration stamp), boarding pass and flight ticket (original, copy), and Passenger Declaration Form (PD Form) (original). Applications must be submitted within 30 days from the date of declaration on the Passenger Declaration Form (PD Form), and the applicable taxes must be paid. If an application cannot be made within 30 days, the CEIR system will collect applicable taxes along with penalties, and according to the CEIR and EIR System Project Steering Committee, a traveler can apply for up to two mobile phones within one year from the date of the first PD Form declaration.
