Kandal Province Inspects Three Infrastructure Development Projects Slated for Completion in 2026
Kandal Provincial Deputy Governor Dim Bora inspected three infrastructure development projects scheduled for completion in 2026. The projects include road construction and drainage systems, aiming to boost the local economy and improve residents' livelihoods.
Kandal Provincial Deputy Governor Dim Bora, accompanied by a technical working group from the provincial administration, relevant ministries, district authorities, and stakeholders, led a mission on July 16, 2026, to inspect three provincial development projects slated for completion in 2026. The sites visited were located in Ponhea Leu and Mok Kampoul districts. The inspection aimed to ensure the technical quality and progress of the work, aligning with local needs and socio-economic development. The three projects inspected by the provincial technical working group include: 1. A stone-paved road project with a length of 1,500 meters, a width of 5 meters, and a thickness of 0.20 meters, located in Ampil Ph'am village, Vihear Luong commune, Ponhea Leu district. 2. Four concrete-reinforced road lines totaling 2,020 meters in length and 5 meters in width with a thickness of 0.15 meters, connecting four villages in Vihear Luong commune, Ponhea Leu district. 3. Two projects for the repair and installation of round culverts for water drainage, totaling 3,060 meters in length, in Ruessei Chroy commune, Mok Kampoul district. The first line is 700 meters long with a cross-section of 1 meter, pipe length of 2.5 meters, 29 wells, and 1 outlet. The second line is 2,360 meters long with a cross-section of 0.8 meters, pipe length of 2.5 meters, and 96 wells. During the inspection, Deputy Governor Dim Bora expressed high appreciation for the efforts of the provincial technical team, contractors, district authorities, and stakeholders who collaborated to implement these projects according to plan. He stated that these initiatives would boost the local economy, facilitate transportation, ease the transport of agricultural products for citizens, reduce flooding during the rainy season, and enhance the safety and civilized living conditions of the people.
