A total of 1,429 households, comprising 4,211 people, are currently taking temporary shelter in the flood evacuation centers that remain open. In the wards and villages where the water has receded, relevant organizations are carrying out debris and garbage removal, cleaning schools, and undertaking work to improve water flow and for rehabilitation in the school surroundings, according to the Ayeyarwady Region government.
