PDEA-BARMM Dismantles Drug Den in Midsayap, Arrests Six
Anti-narcotics agents in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) dismantled a drug den and arrested six individuals in Midsayap, Cotabato province. Methamphetamine and firearms were seized, and the suspects face charges for illegal drug possession and illegal firearms.
COTABATO CITY – Anti-narcotics agents dismantled a drug den and arrested six suspects, including a woman, during a buy-bust operation in Midsayap, Cotabato province on Thursday, July 16. Director Edgar T. Jubay of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-BARMM), said the buy-bust operation was conducted in Barangay Poblacion 3, Midsayap town, in coordination with PDEA Regional Office 12 and Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region. Those arrested were identified only through their aliases, namely, “Yasser,” 41, “Hasna,” 30, Asser, 20, Christian, 25, Abdul, 36, and Emmanuel, 19. Hasna has been tagged as the one who operates the drug den. Confiscated during the operation were about 16 grams of suspected shabu worth P102,000. Also recovered were buy-bust money, shabu paraphernalia, an improvised caliber .45 pistol and ammunition. Now detained at PDEA detention facility, the suspects are facing charges for illegal possession of firearm and ammunition, and possession and sale of illegal drugs. /jpv
