Sagaing Region CM conducted field inspections in Lehe

Sagaing Region Chief Minister Ko Lay, accompanied by Chairman of the Naga Self-Administered Zone Leading Committee and other concerned officials visited Lahe Township in Naga Self-Administered Zone on Tuesday to promote regional development. At the Theravada Buddhist Missionary (Central) Monastery, the Chief Minister offered basic food supplies and cash donations to members of the Sangha and supplicated religious matters. He later met with region and township-level departments, township community leaders and Naga literature and cultural groups at the Naga Literature and Culture Hall and delivered the remarks including calling for cooperation between local communities and responsible authorities to maintain regional peace and stability, and urged farmers to expand paddy and oil crop cultivation through upland farming systems The attendees also discussed Lahe Township development projects and support for agriculture, livestock and MSME businesses. The Chief Minister provided guidance in response to the discussion. The Chief Minister and officials then inspected MSME product displays in Lahe Township and gave guidance to officials. They also visited Lahe Township Basic Education Industrial, Agricultural and Livestock High School, Basic Education Primary and Post-Primary Schools in Extended-2 Ward and Myoma Ward, Women’s Vocational Training School, and Government Technical High School and heard reports on teaching activities and coordinated necessary support. They later visited farmer U San Oo’s perennial crop farm in Lahe Township. The Chief Minister reviewed the cultivation of perennial crops and instructed officials to expand such crop production and provide necessary assistance. The Chief Minister and officials then attended a coordination meeting on border development, together with township and departmental officials at the Township meeting hall. He urged departments to work together to effectively implement regional development projects and to systematically use state and region funds for community-benefit projects.
