プノンペン、2026年6月2日（KPT）－カンボジアのプラク・ソコーン副首相兼外務大臣は、タイとの重複する海洋権益問題に対処するため、国連海洋法条約（UNCLOS）に基づく強制調停手続きを開始するという政府の決定について、外交官や国際機関の代表らに説明した。 ソクホン氏はプノンペンで講演し、カンボジアがタイと国連事務総長にUNCLOSプロセス開始の決定を正式に通知したと述べた。
