Cambodian People's Party Enhances Party Building with Digitalization Training

The Cambodian People's Party (CPP) is advancing its efforts to strengthen the foundation and modernize its party organization. On September 21, 2026, a specialized training session for party leadership was held in Oddar Meanchey province. The training session, presided over by Mr. Som Sorin, a member of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee and Chairman of the Organization Committee, focused on utilizing digital technology in building party organization and managing party member and official rosters. A total of 513 officials from the party committees in Oddar Meanchey province participated. The objective of the training is to enhance the professional operational capabilities of the party organization and efficiently manage information on party members and officials using IT systems. This is understood to aim at improving the party's operational efficiency and enabling more modern, data-driven decision-making. The Cambodian People's Party has been in power for many years, and its organizational strength forms the bedrock of the nation's politics. In recent years, the party has accelerated its investment in digitalization, actively introducing information technology not only within government agencies but also within the party organization itself. This can be seen as part of a strategy to respond to changing domestic and international political landscapes and to maintain or enhance the party's appeal.
