Cambodian Senate Members Meet Local Officials to Enhance Public Services
Cambodian Senate members met with local administrative officials in Kandal province to report on the first half of 2026 achievements. They encouraged strengthening public service delivery and explained decrees on identification services and the fraternity fund. Donations of goods and cash, supported by a Korean organization, were also provided.
A delegation of Cambodian Senate members, led by HE Mam Bun Neang, President of the Senate Working Group for Region 3, visited the city of Ariksat and the Lvea Em district in Kandal province on the morning of July 24, 2026. They held a meeting with city and district leaders, commune/sangkat council members, commune/sangkat clerks, and administrative police station chiefs, with a total of 184 participants. The purpose of this meeting was to disseminate the achievements of the Senate for the first half of 2026. It also aimed to encourage authorities and commune/sangkat councils to further strengthen their capacity in providing public services to citizens more effectively. This was achieved through the dissemination of Sub-Decree No. 96 ANK.BK on identification services, which outlines both fee-exempt and fee-based services, and Sub-Decree No. 76 ANK.BK on the organization and functioning of the Royal Government's Fraternity Fund. During the occasion, the Senate delegation presented donations to all commune/sangkat council members, commune/sangkat clerks, and administrative police station chiefs.
