ASEAN to Strengthen Legal Framework for Crime Fighting; Vietnamese PM Advocates for Transnational Crime Eradication

Vietnamese Prime Minister Le Minh Hung, addressing the ASEAN Law Enforcement Heads Meeting, called for enhanced crime cooperation among member states. He emphasized strengthening legal frameworks to combat transnational crime, particularly fugitive apprehension, by promoting bilateral extradition and prisoner transfer agreements and urging the swift ratification of the ASEAN Extradition Treaty.
