Cambodia has firmly rejected Thailand's claims of Cambodian citizens residing on Thai territory, asserting that unilateral assertions cannot create legal reality. The Cambodian Immigration Department emphasized that international borders are not determined by military force or one-sided maps, and has urged Thailand to verify its claims through the Joint Boundary Commission (JBC), as agreed by both nations.
