Takéo Province's Kirivong District Recognizes Top Students, Highlighting Educational Progress

In Kirivong District, Takéo Province, southern Cambodia, 11 students who achieved outstanding results (Grade A) in the 2025-2026 high school exit examinations were honored by Mr. Sok Sokan, head of the government's working group for the district. The ceremony, held on Saturday, September 19th, at the Kirivong District Hall, was attended by the district council chairman, district governor, deputy governor, head of the education office, principals of various high schools, and approximately 30 award-winning students and their parents. As a token of encouragement for the 11 top-performing students, Mr. Sok Sokan presented each with a laptop and a cash prize of 1,000,000 Riel (approximately $250 USD). This gesture signifies the high level of attention the government and the working group place on human resource development and the enhancement of educational quality in Cambodia. From 2022 to 2026, Kirivong District has recorded a total of 43 Grade A students (20 female), a positive indicator of educational progress in the region. For the 2025-2026 academic year, Kirivong District had a total of 918 candidates (517 female) register for the exam, with 765 (453 female) passing, achieving a pass rate of 83.33%. Among those who passed, 11 students (5 female) obtained Grade A. Sok An Tonleap High School produced 5 Grade A students (1 female), Kirivong High School produced 5 (4 female), and Sok An Sopina High School produced 1.
