Cambodia and Malaysia to Hold 3rd Joint Committee Meeting in Kuala Lumpur to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

Cambodia and Malaysia are preparing to hold their third Joint Committee meeting to strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation. The meeting will be co-chaired by Cambodian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Prak Sokhonn and his Malaysian counterpart, Dato' Seri Utama Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hazan. According to a press release from the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation on July 31, 2026, Minister Prak Sokhonn will lead the delegation for an official visit to Malaysia from August 3 to 4. The third Joint Committee meeting will comprehensively review the progress achieved in the implementation of the minutes of the second Joint Committee meeting and various agreements between the two parties that have been consented to in the past. The meeting aims to set forth additional concrete measures to further deepen and broaden cooperation in numerous sectors, providing new impetus to the strong and multifaceted relationship between Cambodia and Malaysia. According to the planned program, in addition to co-chairing the meeting with Malaysian Foreign Minister Mohamad Hazan, Minister Prak Sokhonn will also pay a courtesy call on Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
