President Prabowo Subianto returned to Indonesia early Monday morning (14/9/2026), concluding his working visit to New Delhi for the BRICS Summit 2026 held from September 12-13, 2026. The presidential aircraft carrying Prabowo and his entourage landed at the Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta at 00:08 Western Indonesian Time. Upon arrival, Prabowo was welcomed at the foot of the aircraft stairs by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) General Agus Subiyanto, Chief of the Indonesian National Police (Polri) General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Muhammad Herindra. During his stay in New Delhi, Prabowo attended the BRICS Summit 2026 as a full member. In the forum, Prabowo conveyed a key message that unity among BRICS nations would strengthen the position and resilience of each country. "By uniting, we also become stronger. Strength always starts from within the nation with our people—through our ability to meet their food needs, guarantee the energy supplies they require, educate our children, and give them the opportunity to live prosperous lives. That is how we build a resilient and truly independent nation," Prabowo stated. Prabowo's visit to New Delhi also reaffirmed Indonesia's commitment to continuously strengthen cooperation with BRICS member states and partners. Indonesia's presence at the summit is part of efforts to foster closer collaboration in facing global dynamics and to achieve inclusive and sustainable growth. After completing all agendas in New Delhi, President Prabowo and a limited entourage returned directly to the homeland. Accompanying Prabowo on the flight were Foreign Minister Sugiono, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Rosan Roeslani, Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
