Thailand Tightens Controls on Foreign-Linked Companies with New Registration Rules

Thailand's Ministry of Commerce is introducing stricter registration requirements for foreign-linked companies to prevent the use of Thai nominees for concealed foreign ownership or control. The new order, effective August 1, 2026, will expand scrutiny throughout the business cycle, from establishment to changes in shareholders and directors.
