Pochentong District authorities launched a drainage system repair project on August 5th, covering 1,525 meters in Chom Chao 1 Commune. On the morning of August 5, 2026, Pochentong District authorities, led by District Governor Sok Chan Kanyarith, presided over the groundbreaking ceremony for the repair of a circular drainage system in Tuol Pong Village, Chom Chao 1 Commune. This area has been affected by flooding due to heavy rains, causing difficulties for residents' travel. The road in question suffers from a lack of drainage, leading to persistent flooding whenever it rains, impacting the lives and livelihoods of residents. Consequently, authorities have deployed machinery to excavate and install a new drainage system spanning 1,525 meters. District authorities stated that this infrastructure project will significantly contribute to improving the local drainage system, enhancing sanitation and the environment, and facilitating easier and safer travel for residents.
