Prabowo to Inaugurate 1,500 New TNI and Polri Junior Officers

President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to lead the Prasetya Perwira (Praspa) ceremony on Wednesday morning, July 22, at the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta. The ceremony will officially appoint around 1,500 prospective junior officers for the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and the National Police (Polri). Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi confirmed that the president will directly preside over the event, which is slated to commence at 08.00 WIB. While the exact number of graduating cadets is subject to final adjustments due to an increase in student intake, the current estimate stands at approximately 1,500 individuals. The Prasetya Perwira ceremony is an annual tradition marking the commissioning of graduates from the TNI and Polri academies into junior officer ranks. In the previous year, the ceremony saw the inauguration of around 2,000 cadets, comprising 827 Army officers, 433 Navy officers, 293 Air Force officers, and 447 Police officers. During the ceremony, the president will administer the oath of office and present the Adhi Makayasa award, recognizing the best graduates for their academic achievements and leadership during their training. This year's inauguration is anticipated to be a pivotal moment in reinforcing the generational renewal of the TNI and Polri, who are tasked with safeguarding national defense, security, and sovereignty.
