A prominent 25-year-old influencer was arrested in Bangkok for allegedly exploiting a 17-year-old girl. The minor was reportedly forced to create explicit content for sale on X and OnlyFans. Thai authorities are intensifying crackdowns on online child exploitation and human trafficking.
Thai anti-trafficking police arrested a 25-year-old prominent online influencer in Bangkok on July 25 for allegedly exploiting a 17-year-old minor. The arrest was made at a condominium following an order from Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) Commander Pol. Lt. Gen. Natthasak Chaowanasai, with officers from the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Division (ATPD) conducting the raid. The suspect is accused of coercing the minor into filming explicit content intended for sale on platforms such as X (formerly Twitter) and OnlyFans. This incident underscores the ongoing crackdown by Thai authorities on digital child exploitation and human trafficking within the country's clandestine online communities. Thai authorities have adopted a stringent stance against criminal activities in cyberspace, particularly exploitation and trafficking targeting minors, with law enforcement agencies intensifying efforts to uncover such illegal operations.
