Thayar Su Village relocation from flood to be submitted to the President

The relocation of Thayar Su Village in Pyinmana Township, Nay Pyi Taw Council Territory, to a flood-free area will be submitted to the President, according to Dr. Ye Tint Htun, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation. Dr. Ye Tint Htun, Deputy Minister, stated this in response to a question raised by U Khin Maung Htay, People's Hluttaw representative for Pyinmana constituency, during the 21st day of the 2nd regular session of the 3rd People's Hluttaw held on July 10, asking whether there are plans to relocate Thayar Su Village in Pyinmana Township to a suitable land free from flood danger. It is reported that Thayar Su Village has 167 households and 696 residents, and faces the danger of flooding every year during the monsoon season. Due to these incidents, the villagers have requested to be relocated to an area not far from the current location. Regarding the submitted proposals, the Nay Pyi Taw Council has selected three priority land areas, and meetings and negotiations with the villagers have already been conducted, said Deputy Minister Dr. Ye Tint Htun.
