Bronze plaques installed at Chindwin Palace and Bogyoke Museum

It has been learned from the Ministry of Hotels, Tourism and Culture that bronze plaques designating them as historical buildings were installed on July 28 at the Kambojayitta (Chindwin Palace) building in Bahan Township and the Bogyoke Aung San Museum, which are historical buildings in Yangon. Union Minister U Maung Myint of the Ministry of Hotels, Tourism and Culture stated that this brings the total number of buildings in Yangon that have been designated as historical buildings with bronze plaques to six. He also said that to date, 6,105 buildings in Myanmar that are 100 years or older have been designated as historical buildings and are being protected and maintained. The Union Minister also stated that efforts must be made to ensure that the public understands and complies with the value of heritage and the need for its preservation, as historical cultural heritage buildings attract domestic and international tourists and enhance the country's prestige and grandeur.
