Pertamina Cuts Prices for Some Fuels in Indonesia Effective August 1

PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Indonesia's state-owned oil company, has announced a reduction in the prices of some non-subsidized fuels, effective Saturday, August 1, 2026. This adjustment is made in accordance with government regulations and directives, taking into account public purchasing power and ensuring the availability of national fuel supply. VP of Corporate Communication for Pertamina Patra Niaga, Kitty Andhora, stated that the price adjustment for non-subsidized fuels follows the trend of average global crude oil prices and considers the Rupiah's exchange rate, in compliance with applicable regulations. "The adjustment of non-subsidized fuel prices is carried out in accordance with government regulations and directives, by considering the development of global oil prices, the Rupiah exchange rate, and by still paying attention to the purchasing power of the community. This step is also part of an effort to maintain the availability of national fuel supply so that it remains guaranteed for the community," Kitty said, as quoted from an official statement this past Saturday. Following this fuel price adjustment, three non-subsidized fuel products have seen a price decrease, while two other products remain unchanged. The prices of Pertamina's non-subsidized fuels as of August 1 are as follows: Pertamax Turbo decreased by Rp 1,000 from Rp 19,300 per liter to Rp 18,300 per liter. Pertamax Green 95 decreased by Rp 400 from Rp 17,000 per liter to Rp 16,600 per liter. Pertamax (RON 92) decreased by Rp 300 from Rp 16,250 per liter to Rp 15,950 per liter. These prices apply to regions with a Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax (PBBKB) of 5%, such as DKI Jakarta.
