Prabowo Dismisses 'Indonesia Collapse' Predictions: 'June Has Passed, It's Already July'

President Prabowo Subianto has dismissed predictions that Indonesia is heading for a "collapse." Speaking at a harvest festival in Malang on Friday (July 17), the President remarked, "Indonesia is said to collapse every month, but June has passed, and it's already July. Instead of thinking about collapse, just move forward." Prabowo also addressed those who speak of a "dark Indonesia," asserting that his administration is committed to working diligently. He expressed optimism that Indonesia would become a developed nation, standing on its own feet. "But don't keep trailing foreign powers. Indonesia is bad, Indonesia is this, Indonesia is dark. If you wear dark glasses, then it will always be dark," he said. Prabowo stated that the government he leads is determined to do its best to achieve these goals as quickly as possible. He emphasized that Indonesia's abundant natural wealth must be enjoyed by all its citizens without exception. Prabowo mentioned that it has been too long for the Indonesian people to live less than adequately compared to Indonesia's abundant wealth. "We don't want to be a complacent nation. We will prove to the world that the Indonesian nation is rising with our own strength," he declared.
