Prabowo Alleges 'Foreign Proxies' Behind Indonesian Unrest

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has voiced concerns about the alleged involvement of 'foreign proxies' behind various unrests in the country. Speaking on his YouTube channel 'Presiden Prabowo Menjawab', Prabowo stated, "Although we must be careful because everything is based on evidence. But for me, I feel there are [such actors]," he said. Prabowo elaborated that these entities wish to keep Indonesia weak and do not want it to become a strong nation. He further added that their ultimate goal is the fragmentation of Indonesia. "Because their ultimate dream is for Indonesia to be divided," he stated. This statement comes at a time when Indonesia is projected to become the fourth-largest economy in the world in the future, amidst a fiercely competitive geopolitical landscape. Prabowo described geopolitical competition as "cold-blooded and cruel," emphasizing the reality of international politics where "there are no permanent friends and no permanent enemies, only permanent interests."
