In the domestic fuel market, gasoline prices have continued to fall, while diesel prices have seen a slight increase, according to a statement released by the Supervisory Committee for the Import, Storage and Distribution of Fuel Oil on July 17. According to the statement from the Supervisory Committee for the Import, Storage and Distribution of Fuel Oil, based on the reference prices released on July 17, fuel prices in Yangon City were 3,210 kyats per liter for 92 octane gasoline, 3,285 kyats per liter for 95 octane gasoline, 3,175 kyats per liter for ordinary diesel, and 3,895 kyats per liter for premium diesel. Compared to the prices released last week, 92 octane gasoline has dropped by 40 kyats per liter, and 95 octane gasoline has dropped by 25 kyats per liter. However, due to the rise in global oil prices, diesel prices have seen a slight increase, with diesel rising by 80 kyats per liter and premium diesel by 105 kyats per liter. "Gasoline prices have been continuously falling. Schools have also reopened, so expenses have become a little more affordable. Fuel costs are cheaper than before. However, there are still some issues with permits, so it's not yet entirely convenient," said a parent of a student living in Yangon. The fuel prices released on July 17 are expected to remain unchanged for the week and continue as usual. The Supervisory Committee for the Import, Storage and Distribution of Fuel Oil calculates and releases fuel prices daily based on MOPS (Platts Oilgram Price Report) prices, and has informed the public that complaints regarding selling above the specified reference price or incorrect pricing can be reported by contacting the committee's phone numbers: 01-4003973 and 09-254525477.
