Marcos Admits Skipping Issues in SONA, Promises Inclusion in Future Addresses
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. acknowledged omitting certain issues from his fifth State of the Nation Address (SONA), citing time constraints and promising their inclusion in future addresses. The President indicated that these points would be addressed later.
MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Saturday said that he had to leave out some points in his fifth State of the Nation Address (Sona), but to watch out for his next address for the undiscussed issues. “Marami kaming nailagay na kailangan na hindi namin na maisama, dahil masyado ng mahaba kaya't", he said. "But they will surely be discussed in future addresses," he added. He did not specify the particular issues left out but said the public should pay attention.
