Bali Siblings Among Victims of Capsize Ship Virgo, Family Awaits News

Two brothers from Bali have been identified as victims of the KMP Virgo Transport 8 passenger ship, which capsized in the Java Sea. The siblings, I Kadek Sayoga Putra and I Putu Pramana Yoga, from Capunggung Hamlet, Bangbang Village, Tembuku District, Bangli Regency, Bali, were truck drivers. According to the head of Capunggung Hamlet, I Ketut Adnyana, the brothers were passengers on the ill-fated vessel. Their parents confirmed their presence on board the KMP Virgo Transport 8 when it encountered the accident in the Java Sea on Sunday, September 13, at approximately 01:30 Western Indonesian Time. Adnyana stated that the brothers have been unreachable since the incident. They had departed from Bali on Thursday, September 10, traveling to Surabaya, East Java, before boarding the ship to continue their journey to Kalimantan (Borneo). Their mission was to deliver religious ceremony supplies from Bali. Family members have provided identification documents, such as their KTP (identity cards), to assist in the registration process. However, as of Tuesday, September 15, the family has not received any official notification from the relevant authorities regarding the condition of the two brothers. They are anxiously awaiting confirmed news about their whereabouts and the results of the investigation at the accident site, with their primary hope being the safe return of their sons.
