Coast Guard Region 4 Command Conducts Gratitude Activities Ahead of War Heroes and Fallen Soldiers' Day

In anticipation of the 79th anniversary of War Heroes and Fallen Soldiers' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2026), the Coast Guard Region 4 Command has been organizing various gratitude activities in Phu Quoc (Kien Giang Province), An Giang Province, and other areas. These activities aim to educate the younger generation about revolutionary traditions and express profound gratitude to heroes, fallen soldiers, wounded soldiers, veterans, and all those who have contributed to the nation. Specifically, members of the Coast Guard's youth union have participated in events expressing gratitude towards individuals who have served the country. Initiatives to care for national contributors and extend the chain of gratitude are also underway. These endeavors, under the theme "Extending the Chain of Gratitude" and "A Sacred Gesture and a Journey to Ignite Hope," embody Vietnam's historically valued spirit of "repaying kindness." This spirit is evident even in areas referred to as "land of fire" (likely indicating historical battlegrounds), demonstrating its continued legacy. Under Vietnam's one-party system, expressing respect and gratitude to national contributors is a crucial element in strengthening national unity and fostering patriotism. In a rapidly growing Vietnam, the continuation of these traditional values is considered a cornerstone supporting social stability and development.
