Thailand's Patipol Party has sent a letter to a former party member, who is also the accuser, requesting her to provide information regarding alleged sexual harassment by another former party MP. The issue emerged following the publication of a statement titled 'The People Who Do Not Surrender' by Tisana Choonhavan, a former MP from the same party, who accused sexual harassment and organizational handling of the matter. This statement has garnered significant attention on social media. Panida Mongkolsawat, Deputy Spokesperson for the Patipol Party and an MP for Samut Prakan province, revealed in a social media post that the party had invited Tisana, who is currently a party member, to provide information for further action. She emphasized that the party prioritizes all complaints related to sexual harassment or violence, striving for fair and comprehensive information gathering. Panida asserted that the Patipol Party has consistently maintained standards for addressing such issues, ensuring that all cases are considered fairly and transparently. She added that investigations would be conducted rigorously and honestly, based on facts and through the party's mechanisms and procedures, with no protection for perpetrators. The case has drawn public scrutiny regarding gender-based violence in Thai society and the accountability of political organizations in handling such matters. Source: INN News
