Cambodia Reports Border Dispute's Impact on Education and Culture at Francophonie Assembly

A Cambodian parliamentary delegate reported on the negative impacts of past Cambodia-Thailand border conflicts on education and culture at the 51st annual meeting of the Assembly of the French-Speaking Parliamentarians (APF) in Cameroon. The delegate stated that 1,017 schools were temporarily closed and 562 historical sites were damaged due to armed conflict. Cambodia also announced plans to establish a world-class French-speaking university focused on economics and management.
