Cambodian National Assembly President to Visit Vietnam for Official Friendship Trip

Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly of Cambodia, will lead a high-level parliamentary delegation on an official and friendship visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam from July 27 to 29, 2026. This visit is in response to an invitation from Tran Thanh Man, President of the National Assembly of Vietnam, aimed at further strengthening the traditional friendship and cooperation between the two countries. During the visit, President Sudary is scheduled to pay courtesy calls on To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party and President of Vietnam, and hold bilateral working meetings with Tran Thanh Man, President of the Vietnamese National Assembly. She will also meet with Le Minh Hung, Prime Minister of Vietnam. Concurrently, at the committee level of the National Assemblies of both countries, members of the delegation accompanying the President will hold bilateral working meetings with their Vietnamese counterparts to share information and exchange experiences. Furthermore, the Cambodian high-level delegation will visit important sites in Vietnam, including industrial zones, cultural and tourism areas, and hospitals. These visits are intended to foster people-to-people connections and enhance cooperation in sectors such as trade, tourism, culture, and healthcare services, ultimately serving the interests of the citizens of both nations. The visit is seen as a move to further develop the relationship between Cambodia and Vietnam, based on the spirit of "good neighborliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term stability."
